In fact, Kaweco recently released a "stonewashed" version of the AL Sport, which seems to be a "pre-aged" version of the regular AL Sport with the aluminum coating worn off. Everything that has been worked out and learned over the years, we take with us into the future for an innovative sense of tradition. The popularity of the Sport is such that Kaweco has developed several lines, the "classic" plastic sport pen, the AL Sport, and the AC Sport Carbon Fiber edition.

Please also take time to read our post-Brexit information page if you are outside the UK to see what will happen now with tax and import duty. I know people who love nibs this way and I think this is what the Bock 060 nibs should actually be like. Most of the designs originate from a time when clocks went slower and craftsmanship was still a tradition. With the hexagonal cap posted on the end of the pen, the AL Sport is perfectly balanced and designed to provide a remarkably smooth writing experience. Originally established in 1899 in Heidelberg (also home of Lamy), the company was eventually renamed Kaweco as its owners namesake, Henrich Koch and Rudolph Weber - KOch, WEber and COmpany.

Kaweco ink is available in: Midnight Blue, Royal Blue, Paradise Blue, Caramel Brown, Glowing Yellow, Smoke Grey, Palm Green, Sun Orange, Summer Purple, Ruby Red, Pearl Black. The Kaweco Sport was first designed in 1911 as a pocket fountain pen which could be carried everywhere.

We use a state of the art laser engraving machine which gently etches away the top layer of the pen to reveal the base metal underneath.Während sich die extrafeine Feder (EF) besonders gut für eine kleine und feine Handschrift eignet, wird die extrabreite Feder (BB) oft für große, dramatische Unterschriften genutzt. cm when closed, but when the cap is mounted on top of the barrel they become a 13 cm-long, standard-sized pen, hence the slogan: "small in the pocket, large in the hand". Was damals noch aus Silber oder vergoldetem Messing gemacht wurde, wird heute aus dem Metall Aluminium hergestellt. Cass Art, Cass Art London and the Cass Art logo are trade marks and trade names of Art-Line Limited. As a perfect finishing touch, the fountain pen is equipped with a gold-plated logo cap and a gold-plated nib.

Mirrored on the design of the Classic Sport, the AL Sport combines durable aluminium with Kawecos' signature simplicity, ensuring this pen will never go out of style. Aluminium things are usually anodised in a satin finish, giving the surface an equal and unchanging appearance. The Classic Sport range, introduced to market in 1934, broke new ground in modern design for its unique octagonal barrel and handy portable size intended for use by ‘ladies, officers and sportspeople’. when closed, but when the cap is mounted on top of the barrel they grow into a 13cm long, standard-sized pen, hence the slogan: "Small in the pocket, large in the hand".The Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen is a popular pocket fountain pen made with solid aluminium parts with a hand-polished finish. The metallic body of the Kaweco Collection Vibrant Violet Fountain Pen is made of high-quality aluminium and refined with a silky matt surface. Today, this is reflected in the high quality standards, excellent workmanship and the individual inspection of each product.

Since the UK left the EU in January 2021, the way international shipments are dealt with by Customs has changed. Finally the Iguana Blue AL Sport has by far the smoothest nib, though with the same level of ink flow as the other loan pen. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. It does say a lot about how the base material and method of finish can make such a difference on what is effectively the same pen.I have been alternating between the two loaners when I’ve been heading into work the last couple of weeks, putting the chosen pen in the sleeve, and that in to a pocket. The colour versions include black, anthracite, silver, the used-look Stonewashed blue and the shiny RAW, which develops a patina with delicate traces of use remarkably quickly due to its untreated aluminium. Having said that there is always the chance of a fine nibbed pen appearing alongside my Midori Passport at some point in the future. The pen fits snugly inside and feels like it is being protected from loose items in your pocket, bag, or hand bag, such as keys and loose change. It is sturdy enough, but the pen will develop a patina and scratches and dings with long-term use, especially if you use this pen as a true EDC "pocket pen" and carry it around in your pocket with keys, coins, etc.
