Are there any of these "basic 42 glyphs" in Eragon's guide to Alagaësia, or did he just make some glyphs and let the rest up to us? I didn't get the book, when it was published, and my local bookstores don't sell the book.

I'm currently re-reading the books before reading "the fork the witch and the worm". I've stumbled upon Liduen Kvaedhi which is a special script invented by the elves for writing in TAL. Oromis tells Eragon that Liduen Kvaedhi is based upon 42 basic letters, and these letters can be rearranged into an infinte amount of glyphs. Unusual, powerful . . . fresh and fluid. An impressive start to a writing career that's sure to flourish." --"Booklist", Starred
